Since 2002, RateHighway has built software for car rental revenue management. RateMonitor Elite collects market data, applies the operator’s strategy and guardrails, and sends pricing decisions to the systems operators already use.
Better intelligence can make that automation more useful. It does not change who sets the strategy. The operator controls the rules and remains responsible for each decision.
PROJECT APOGEE builds on RateMonitor Elite. It allows RateHighway to explore questions that go beyond a normal product release.

The watch room
Tracks rate changes across the market. It does not set prices. It provides current evidence so the revenue manager can act on facts instead of instinct.

The reference room
Shows how a rate compares with its own history and with nearby competitors. It gives the revenue manager a stable reference point. It is an instrument, not a decision.

Observation without pricing.
The dark room
The system can observe the market without changing a price. Observation and action are separate by design. The operator decides when the evidence should lead to action.

Utilization and rate belong together.
The balance room
Fleet availability and price must be considered together. A full fleet at too low a rate can fail. A high rate with many idle cars can also fail.

Pickup, melt, and length of rent.
The dispatch room
These are important car rental terms. Pickup shows how bookings build over time. Melt means bookings that cancel or do not arrive. Length of rent shows how long each booking uses the fleet. RateHighway tracks all three because they change the pricing decision.
